HuzAround Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HuzAround mobile application, website, features, content, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by ETE-Services ("HuzAround," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About HuzAround

HuzAround is a social application designed to help users discover and connect with people nearby based on shared interests, preferences, and user-controlled visibility settings.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use HuzAround.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

You are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

3. Account Registration

To use HuzAround, you may be required to create an account using your mobile phone number and complete an authentication or verification process.

You agree that:

The information you provide is accurate and current.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your device, verification methods, and account access.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

4. Privacy and User Controls

Your privacy matters to us. HuzAround allows users to control how much personal information they share and to manage location visibility preferences inside the app.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share, store, retain, and protect your information.

5. User Content

You may submit, upload, publish, transmit, or display content through the Service, including profile details, messages, photos, preferences, status information, and other materials ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and distribute that User Content solely for the purposes of operating, providing, improving, securing, and supporting the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that it does not violate these Terms or the rights of any third party.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful purposes.

Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, impersonate, intimidate, abuse, or defame other users.

Post or transmit content that is illegal, obscene, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, discriminatory, or invasive of privacy.

Collect, scrape, harvest, or store personal data of other users without authorization.

Use bots, scripts, automation, or other unauthorized means to access or interact with the Service.

Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, attack, probe, or compromise the Service or related systems.

Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code.

Use the Service to advertise, spam, solicit, or conduct unauthorized promotions.

Create false accounts or misrepresent your identity.

Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.

7. Safety and Real-World Interactions

HuzAround may facilitate introductions and conversations between users, but we do not guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, legitimacy, or compatibility of any user.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether online or offline. Please exercise caution when communicating or meeting in person. We do not conduct comprehensive background checks unless expressly stated otherwise.

In emergencies or situations involving immediate danger, contact local emergency services and not HuzAround support.

8. Messaging and Communications

The Service may include in-app messaging and communication features. You understand that:

We may process message metadata and related technical information as needed to operate, secure, investigate abuse, and improve the Service.

Do not describe the Service as providing end-to-end encryption unless that feature is actually implemented and clearly communicated in the app.

If end-to-end encryption is not implemented, message content may be processed or stored by our systems as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, or maintain platform security.

9. Location Features

Certain features may rely on approximate or precise location data, depending on your device permissions and your in-app settings.

You can control location sharing through your device settings and, where available, through your HuzAround privacy settings. Disabling location access may reduce or disable certain app features.

10. Reporting, Moderation, and Enforcement

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor content, investigate reports, review accounts, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or preserve the integrity of the Service.

You may report abusive, illegal, unsafe, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate behavior through available in-app tools or by contacting us.

11. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service and all related software, technology, trademarks, logos, service marks, text, graphics, interfaces, designs, and other content are owned by or licensed to ETE-Services and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, license, publicly display, publicly perform, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service except as expressly authorized by us in writing or as permitted by law.

12. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, comments, or feedback regarding the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, analytics tools, communication tools, verification vendors, mapping providers, push notification providers, crash reporting systems, or customer support systems. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content except as required by law.

14. Purchases and Paid Features

If HuzAround offers subscriptions, premium features, or in-app purchases, additional pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms may apply and will be presented to you before purchase.

Platform billing rules from Apple App Store and Google Play may also apply where purchases are made through those stores.

15. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time if:

You violate these Terms.

We believe your conduct creates risk, harm, legal exposure, or disruption.

We are required to do so by law or by a valid legal request.

The Service or a feature is discontinued.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

16. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account using the in-app deletion option, if available, or by contacting us using the contact details below.

Deletion of your account generally means deletion or anonymization of your account information and associated personal data, except where retention is required or permitted by law, needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax or accounting obligations, enforcement of our agreements, or other legitimate business purposes disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

17. Service Availability

We may modify, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

18. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or security.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will meet your requirements or expectations.

The Service will always be safe, timely, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Any defects will be corrected.

Any user you meet through the Service is authentic, safe, or compatible with you.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ETE-Services and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or loss-of-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, business opportunities, or reputation, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of:

The amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

One hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ETE-Services and its affiliates, personnel, licensors, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, expenses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to your User Content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

21. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where ETE-Services is established, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory local consumer law requires otherwise.

Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, by updating the effective date, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
